Machine Operator With Forklift

A leader in the building materials industry is seeking two (2) experienced Machine Operators with strong Forklift skills for their facility in Bolton. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity featuring a unique compressed work week (4 days on, 3 days off) and a competitive starting rate. Candidates must be comfortable with a 2-week rotating shift schedule and have a background in heavy industrial manufacturing.Training Period: Mon – Thurs 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.Full Schedule (Post-Training): 2-week rotation between Days and Nights.Day Shift: Mon – Thurs 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.Night Shift: Mon – Thurs 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.AdvantagesHigh Compensation: Competitive starting rate of $26.09/hour.Work-Life Balance: 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday), providing 3-day weekends.Career Progression: Strong potential for permanent conversion for reliable, high-performing candidates.Full-Time Hours: Steady, reliable 12-hour shifts.ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation: Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot specialized packing machines used in a production environment.Equipment Operation: Safely operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts to move heavy products and raw materials.Production Support: Ensure the production line stays active by feeding materials and clearing jams in the packing area.Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects or damage before final packaging.Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to strict industrial safety protocols and perform basic machine cleaning and pre-shift inspections.QualificationsCertification: Must hold valid external forklift licenses (Counterbalance and Reach).Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or heavy manufacturing environment.Technical Skillset: Previous experience operating packing machines is required.Industry Asset: Prior experience in a stone, brick, or paver manufacturing plant is a significant advantage.Shift Flexibility: Must be able to commit to the 2-week rotation (Days/Nights) and the 12-hour shift structure.Physicality: Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment and handle the physical demands of the production floor.SummaryThis is a general posting for future talent needs at Randstad.
