Security Guard

Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking Security Officers that are local residents of the KITIMAT or TERRACE area to join our team in Kitimat, British Columbia. Successful applicants will provide security services to a large and dynamic work site, including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access control, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, assistance with emergency response, security of waterfront and port area and general admin duties.*LOCAL RESIDENT* All applicants must reside in either Kitimat or Terrace B.C. or be willing to re-locate prior to starting dateAbout UsSSRG is one of Canada's leading security companies. Our diverse and highly qualified team members and relentless commitment to excellence provide superior results for our clients.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues, and site workersAccess control/intrusion detection of site, waterfront and port areaMonitoring site activities, detecting suspicious occurrences and providing detailed written incident reportsMobile and foot patrols of assigned area and recording daily activitiesProcessing site access requests (Visitors, Vendors, Deliveries)Administrative duties and issuing/creating site access badgesMonitoring access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systemsEmergency response dispatch and team communications via radioQualificationsValid BC Security LicenseValid Intermediate First Aid or Level C CPR/AEDValid full Class 5 Driver's License and acceptable Driver's AbstractValid Transportation EndorsementMust be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test (SSRG will arrange)Must be able to pass criminal record checkStrong written and spoken English communication skillsWillingness to work both day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as requiredAdditional InformationFull uniform provided including PPE.
