Title: Maintenance Associate Location: 700 Ormont Dr, North York Ontario, M9L 2V4 - On siteShift time: 7:00am to 3:00pm Position Status: Perm Full-timeExisting Vacancy: Yes Position Summary: As a Maintenance Associate, based in our Toronto operations location, you are responsible for coordinating maintenance activities and managing relationships with vendors and contractors. Your efforts directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility of our operations, aligning with Quantum’s mission to lead in sustainable electronics recycling and IT asset disposition. Key Responsibilities:Lead and perform the operation of plastic separation line and provide support to shredder lineMonitor tank densities, prepare brine and operate the machine using PLC controlled systemMonitor the final product quality to ensure it meets production requirementsReview that all production documentation is filled out properly and in a timely mannerEnsuring strong morale is maintained by leading by example when conducting all work tasks, particularly regarding demonstrating exemplary communication skills and professionalismAbide by and enforce corporate policies regarding work and quality procedures, security and safety to maintain a safe working environmentContinually strive to improve processes and systems to improve efficiencies and competitivenessMaintain quality standards and a clean work environment free from safety hazardsManually, disassemble, sort, tag and move material to shelves, skids, or other assigned location in accordance with company policy and proceduresManually dismantle electronics materials by hand or small tools Uses basic math skills to calculate density and required amount of saltReport all irregularities and non-conformances on maintenance checklist to the Operations Manager Perform or ensure regular (daily, weekly, monthly) machine maintenance/inspection checks are completed in accordance with standard procedures or as directed Inform Management of problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labourEnsure to work with / use security measures, procedures and devices as requiredMaintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier and Company informationParticipating in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the job Qualifications:Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in similar position High School Diploma or equivalent work experience Valid forklift license Lock Out / Tag Out Training Job Knowledge and Skills:Considerable computer literacy including inventory systems and MS Office applicationsMathematical aptitude to calculate density and salt quantitiesKnowledge of ELP systemsDemonstrated leadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication skillsSolid knowledge of plant processes and procedures, including strong understanding of material classification and identificationJob specific training in identification and classification of materialsDemonstrated familiarity with Health & Safety, Employment Standards and Compliance LegislationWe offer: Company paid Extended Health & Dental BenefitsDisability & Life InsuranceCompany RRSP matched up to 4%Employee Assistance ProgramEducation Reimbursement ProgramSafety Shoes & glasses reimbursementEmployee Purchase Program (up to 22% off on Qnovum.ca)Quantum is an equal opportunity employer.
