Description Position at Dumas Exciting Opportunity: Lead (Underground) Electrician (Stock Mine Project, Timmins, ON)We need safety focused, efficient Lead Electricians to direct / assist U/G Electricians in new installation and work ongoing maintenance.Dumas is a leading full-service underground mining contractor providing services to clients throughout the Americas. We specialize in mine construction, mine development, production mining, mine services and engineering.Under the direction of the Project Superintendent, the Lead Electrician is responsible for planning, performing, and oversight of underground electrical installations.Technical CompetenciesThorough knowledge of all safety, health and environmental regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace.Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installationsAbility to install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical componentsAbility to test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistanceAbility to troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devicesRequired Skills and QualificationsOntario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Modules Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experienceElectrical Red Seal Journeyman certification5 years u/g electrical experienceOutstanding safety recordDetailsTransportation, accommodations and meals provided as required.14/14 schedule.Competitive bonus compensation.Why Join Us?Excellent compensation and comprehensive benefitsPerformance-based financial rewardsCommitment to health and safetyTraining and career developmentGlobal opportunities
