Our Lacombe Food Store is offering an excellent opportunity for you We’re currently looking for a casual Produce Clerk to join our dynamic team. Position: Produce ClerkPart-time: 24 - 36 hours per week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and eveningsResponsibilities:Provide exceptional customer serviceGuide customers to specific itemsAssist in receiving and inspecting fresh produceStock, face, cull and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) processWash, cut, and package product for fresh cut programWater plants and change water in flowers as requiredEnsure consistent supply and display of fresh produceOperate equipment safelyMaintain temperature logs and ensure all food and equipment temperatures comply with food safety guidelinesVerify package dates and remove expired productsStay informed about Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalls and CAC’s required response, providing customers with current informationPractice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attirePerform additional duties as assigned by the managerQualifications:Outstanding customer service and communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTeam player with the ability to work independentlyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs;some heavy lifting is requiredApplicants must be over 14 years old.
