Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? The Associate Director leads the annual experience studies regarding life and health portfolios and supports risk oversight. Periodic support might be expected for financial reporting and the creation of the annual Appointed Actuary Report (AAR). The role offers high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to shape future direction and priorities.What will you do? Conduct and complete the annual experience studies to analyze the experience emergence of respective portfolios. Collaborate with other business partners in obtaining data and assess its validity. Collaborate with other business partners in formulating strategies driven by the results on experience studies. Provide support as needed to other teams involved in the production of financial results during month-end close period. Assess the impact of experience studies on financial reporting items such as CSM.Other ad-hoc related work as assigned by various stakeholders. What will you need to succeed?Must-have:Familiarity with insurance product modeling, pricing, or valuationExcellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical results to non-technical audiencesProven ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage competing prioritiesUndergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related disciplineProficiency in one or more Languages/Technologies like Python, SQL, SAS, R, VBA, Power BI, C, MatLAB. Nice-to-have:Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or close to FSA exam progress.Experience with GGY AXIS What’s in it for you?
