Your Opportunity:Your exciting opportunity to become an LPN of a General Medicine Unit at Chinook Regional Hospital. The candidate for 4C is one who has strong interest in acute medicine. We're looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our unit that truly believes in patient and family centered care as well as working on a unit that strives to be supportive, caring and fun. 4C is a 34-bed medical unit specializing in the care of acute medicine patients. A candidate who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family focused nursing care is required, working to full scope of practice with critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures and supported with the education required for the role. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. New grads are welcome to apply.Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: PD training and stroke experience preferred.
