EFR Environmental, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, has been providing superior waste collection and recycling services to the Annapolis Valley for more than 30 years. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a full time Class 3 Driver based out of our Middleton office. Company Highlights: Day shifts, 4 day work week (with an early morning start time)Occasional variations from the schedule may be required to meet the contractual obligation and holiday schedulesCompetitive compensation, and benefits package available after three months of continuous employmentThe chance to work with a stable, and growing company with numerous divisions across Eastern Canada. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Drive and load truck in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes according to contractual requirementsEnsure routes are completed in a timely and safe mannerResponsible for daily pre and post-trip inspections of truckLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditionsMaintain radio contact with team and supervisor to receive instructions and report any issues on route or with the vehicle.Immediately report any driving infractions and/or suspensionsBe aware of your surroundings at all timesEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskProtect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilitiesEnsure the safety of fellow employeesPerform other duties as assigned.
