JOB PURPOSEThe Refrigeration and Ventilation Mechanic is responsible for performing refrigeration and air conditioning work at the journeyman level.QUALIFICATIONSMust hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. Must have two years experience. Must have valid drivers license.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Refrigeration and Ventilation Mechanic is responsible for: Installing, monitoring, troubleshooting and servicing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systemsTesting and calibrating equipment for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systemsReclaiming refrigerants and oilsRepairing appliances such as refrigerators, freezers and coolersPerforming minor repairs for building systems and equipmentKeeping and maintaining records and documentationOrganizing and coordinating the work of contractors or other tradespeopleCompetencies identified by Horizon Health NetworkAnalytical ThinkingAttention to DetailCommunicationFlexibilityInterpersonal RelationsPatient/Client FocusProblem SolvingResults OrientationInterested?
