This role involves designing and managing electrical systems for commercial buildings, light industrial facilities, and complex projects across Atlantic Canada.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and specify electrical systems for buildings, including: Power distribution, essential power systems (generators, UPS), grounding design.Telecommunications, data systems, security, and fire alarm systems.Lighting and lighting control systems.Conduct building condition assessments and options evaluations.Estimate construction costs and develop project documentation.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.QualificationsProfessional Engineer ( licensed with Engineers Nova Scotia.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.7+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems.Familiarity with Nova Scotia market is an asset.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.Proficiency with AGi32 lighting design software.Experience with SKM Power Tools software is an asset.Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, Canadian Electrical Code, electrical standards, and best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Join EXP?Work on innovative building and industrial projects.Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and flexible work hours.Opportunities for career growth in a collaborative environment.Be part of an employee-owned company that values sustainability and innovation.Apply Now to become an Electrical Engineer at EXP and help design the future of building systems in Halifax.
