As the successful candidate, you will:Assist the Lead Structural Designer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and scheduleCarry out the preparation of contract drawings, record keeping and other statistical workProduce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software as requiredPerform conceptual layout workDevelop design detailsCheck drawings prior to releaseEnsure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplinesPerform clash detection of models with other discipline modelsParticipation in formal engineering review processesVerify onsite condition and dimensions relating to existing facilitiesIncorporate safety in design. You bring to the role:Technical school diploma specializing in civil/structural designMinimum of 7 years of structural design experienceExperience within a large project, multi-disciplinary EPCM environmentProficient in the use of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages, including at least 2 years working experience with Bentley MicroStation softwareKnowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to structural design in Ontario.Understanding of other discipline requirementsGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood safety awareness. Base salary range: $75,000 - $125,000 At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
