You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.Job SummaryThe Senior Tax Analyst will become a key member of a high-growth direct tax team where Equinix’s investment in the xScale joint venture business is expected to scale with rising demand for AI driven solutions by technology companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US federal taxation principles; experience with US partnership compliance is preferred. ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of corporate income taxes for jurisdictions with EMEA, APAC and the Americas region for the xScale joint venture entities. This includes US partnership and corporate income tax returns, REIT tax returns and various foreign corporate income tax and withholding tax returnsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, operations and external local tax advisors to resolve various issues in the tax return preparation processManage responses to various global tax audits, and income tax assessmentsPrepare the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisioning process, including completion of tax packages, preparation of tax provision to return true-up, scrutiny of tax payables with preparation of roll-forward schedules and review of quarterly financial forecastsSupport the preparation of local statutory financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRS by determining tax provisions, tax-related balance sheet accounts, and preparing tax related disclosure foot notesSupport various ad-hoc tax projects in the region as needed and assist in their implementationQualificationsMinimum of 4 years’ experience in a big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax function of a multinational corporation focusing on US and foreign income tax compliance and ASC740 income tax provision. Experience in preparing and reviewing US partnership returns is preferredBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related fieldA master’s degree in taxation or a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferredExperience with ASC 740 preferredExperience working with third-party advisors, such as tax consultants and auditors, and managing relationships with external stakeholdersAble to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersThis posting is a new position within our organization.The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 96,000 - 144,000 USD / Annual United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 80,000 - 120,000 USD / Annual Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 81,000 - 121,000 CAD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
