Hours5:00am - 1:30pmWhat will you be doing? You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:Maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the public areas of the hotel to enhance the guest experience (clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, washrooms, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, laundry room, pool areas, offices, and other workspaces)Restock and maintain lobby washrooms and amenity rooms dailyRespond to guest/housekeeping requests in a timely and efficient mannerVacuum rugs, furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or steamersEmpty wastebaskets, empty and transport other trash and recyclables to disposal areasDust and polish furniture in main areasPolish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittingsWash windows, walls, ceiling, and woodwork as necessaryMaintain parking lots (sweep, rake leaves, remove the garbage, empty ashtray)Remove any garbage, recyclables, and empty beverage containers from the laundry roomIdentify and report preventative and other maintenance issues in public areasComply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislationCarry out lost and found proceduresAssist other departments wherever necessaryOther duties as requiredWhat are we looking for?To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow: Positive attitudeSelf-starter with the ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environmentCommitted to delivering high levels of customer serviceSufficient time management skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle repetitive movements, such as pulling, pushing, lifting, and bending up to 8 hours a dayPrevious experience in housekeeping is an assetAvailable to work weekdays and weekends, including holidaysPerksEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Eldorado Marina, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Four Points Kelowna, Home2Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family
