We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bilingual Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to support a manufacturing facility on a 3–6 month contract. This role will ensure a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment while promoting a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental management. Key Responsibilities Accident Investigation & Reporting Investigate all accidents or near-miss events with key personnel to identify root causes. Ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked. Produce internal reports as requested by central functions (e.g., monthly KPIs). Environment & Energy Management Implement internal policies on environmental and energy management. Promote awareness and develop a culture of integrated management across the site. Serve as the site’s ambassador for environmental initiatives. Monitor and report on action plans to improve environmental performance, including waste, recycling, and water management. Support circular economy and sustainable development projects. Contribute to energy optimization in alignment with ISO 50001 standards. Health, Safety, & Compliance Coordinate management of workplace accident files and follow up with employees, managers, and external stakeholders (e.g., CNESST, prevention mutual). Manage procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety items. Support emergency preparedness and first aid management, including kits, rooms, and spill response. Maintain H&S displays and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide administrative support for H&S forms, workflows, and Power Automate processes. Manage relationships with H&S suppliers and oversee invoicing. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of local safety regulations (CNESST) and ISO 50001 standards. Experience investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including reporting, procurement, and supplier coordination. Excellent communication skills in French and English.
