Prepare all calculations and select all equipment. May assign tasks to designer and BIM Technician where appropriate Perform/arrange reviews of existing installation and manage the impact on the project. Ensure shop drawing review process takes place within project timelines. Respond to both technical and financial queries related to the project. Review all deliverables for the project including reports, calculations, drawings, or/and specifications. Review for completeness and accuracy at various stages of development and as defined by S+A total quality management Coordinate all documents with the internal/ external project team (architect, interior designer, and other disciplines). Communicate all requirements to project teams, owner, and authorities having jurisdiction. Fully understands Codes and Standards relevant for the project. Ensure tasks are completed both accurately and with the assigned hours/fee. Ensure the internal project team’s coordination processes with other disciplines are complete. Liaise with external consultants, vendors as required to ensure smooth project delivery. Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation and processes. Act as contract administrator for designated projects, ensuring timely completion of all activities for project, where needed by Principal in charge Prepare all change notices or reviews change notices issued by contract administration team. Coordinate with the contract administration team regarding drawing reviews, proper set up of contract administration process and site activities Review and manage the design in terms of construction budgets. Understand, recommend and apply construction and/or project procurement methodologies to projects Advise Principal-in-charge or AP advised of all changes in scope of work and prepares amendments to the contract for review and submission to client. Prepare and continually monitor a schedule of tasks required to complete the project including bill-able hours and critical data required for performance. Support accounts receivable process. Organize and attends meetings including client meetings. Prepare and deliver presentations to client/owner. Who You Are Possess 7 or more years of project engineering experience in the field of electrical building services A senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered. Demonstrate a strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently. Demonstrate the ability to work in a complex environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients. Possess sound communications skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations. Demonstrate experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of major projects. Knowledgeable about the provincial building code, electrical code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES and NFPA standards. Have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. LEED certification / Experience implementing sustainable design (LEED projects) is an asset. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, methods and standards. Demonstrates initiative and practical problem solving.
