Backed by a team of dedicated professionals and a commitment to continuous improvement, Dyno Nobel sets the standard for reliable and responsible blasting manufacturing and services worldwide.What You’ll Do:As a Sr. Underground Equipment Specialist, you will provide immediate support of MPU commissioning efforts and follow-on field support when required. You will be responsible for providing a critical engineering resource that will allow other subject experts to focus on high priority R&D projects. Other duties include:Provide oversight of key MPU manufacturers.Position to provide leading candidate for Dyno Nobel AmericasEnsure compliance with applicable Company Engineering and Design Standards for the manufacture of explosives and hazardous materials.Ensure compliance with applicable HSE rules, regulations, and standardsEnsure design and construction meets the customers’ requirements in all aspects.Ensure the overall project scope of work is within budget and scheduleWrite User and Operations manuals for new equipment designs.Organize, prioritize and execute several projects simultaneously.Write and maintain Dyno Nobel Americas Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) specification for use by manufacturers.Directly interface with MPU manufacturers on equipment design reviews and fabrication activities.Travel is expected to be 50% - the length of each trip will vary depending on the projectWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or 10+ years equivalent underground working experience5+years demonstrated skill in an industrial/manufacturing environment with emphasis on trouble shooting equipment and ancillary systems.Strong knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.Good communication skills, verbal and written, are necessary as well as the ability to work closely with craft personnel, equipment vendors and manufacturersWorking knowledge of CAD 2-D and 3-D softwareFamiliar with various Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point.Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosivesPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.What We Offer:Paid vacation time + paid holidaysHealth Care + Life insurance + AD&DRRSP + RPP (after 1 year of continuous employment)Employee Assistance ProgramFriendly and supportive coworkersZero Harm for Everyone EverywhereValue People – Respect, Recognize & RewardThink Customer.
