You may need to work under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on quality service. As well, you could be working in remote areas with limited access to technical support or working in extreme weather conditions – hot, cold, raining, snowing, greasy and dusty. This can be a physical job with heavy lifting and carrying. The pace can be fast, the hours can be long during busy cycles and you may also need to work overtime. You will also realize that you need to recharge regularly – we insist that you take your vacation time• Relationship Builder. You're going to get to know your customers, their equipment, and their business. You'll build rapport and trust and you'll be able to provide information and solutions to keep your customers up and running.• Vigilance. Report customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to your service supervisor. Report any possible leads for equipment sales to the sales team. Develop rapport with customers and be the eyes and ears of the branch; take opportunities to make a difference.• Mentorship. Listen actively and perform competence analysis of apprentice technicians. Identify areas for them to improve and provide on the job training to assist in their development.• Organization.
