Job Title: Senior Mainframe Developer (COBOL & SAS) Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 6 months Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Mainframe Developer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about working with mainframe technologies, including COBOL and SAS. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our critical systems. Required Skills & Qualifications 6-10 years of experience in Mainframe Platform expertise, including tools and products like JCL, PROCS, TSO, ISPF, zOS, and IBM utilities. Proficiency in COBOL and SAS programming. Experience with mainframe data structures and the ability to extract and manipulate data using VSAM and DB2. Ability to lead high-profile incident responses for critical batch systems, coordinate resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Experience in providing production support to applications running on mainframes and handling job abends. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience in a client support role. Experience with SAS technology, including data review, coding SAS scripts, and extracting reports. Experience offering systems support, security reviews, and maintenance. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to develop, test, and implement mainframe solutions. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe applications.
