Join Northwood and be part of something biggerNorthwood is currently accepting applications for Registered Nurses to join our long term care team in Bedford.Responsibilities:Resident checks and rounds (including, but not limited to vitals, breathing, incontinent round, safety rounds, narcotic, charting)Medication administration (includes processing Doctor’s orders)Resident personal care (includes feeding/assistance, bowel care, dressing, wound care, blood work)Resident, family, and staff support (includes addressing questions and concerns, assisting other Northwood workers)General duties and administration (includes mail, paper work, ordering supplies, assigning duties)Completes other tasks and duties as assignedQualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological trainingLicensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Nova ScotiaCurrent basic CPRRecent clinical experience, including medication administration and leadership dutiesDemonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basisPrevious experience in gerontological nursing an assetLeadership /Charge experience preferredStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsGood problem solving and decision-making skillsDemonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy liftingKnowledge of / experience with a team based person-centered care approachDemonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary teamHours/Shifts: Full Time and Part Time (Various shifts)If you are interested in applying for this career opportunity please click APPLY
