Department: International Education & DevelopmentCampus: BarrieClassification: Academic Posting Date: December 5, 2025Status: Part-TimeEffective Date: January 30, 2025 Salary Range: $30.00-$55.00 per hourLocated in Barrie and reporting to the Manager of International Partnership and Development, the incumbent develops and delivers a high school level course titled "Business Economics" in a non-credit international program. The course is scheduled and delivered in-person during the day (2-4 hours per week from February 2, 2026 to May 22, 2026). Specific duties include but are not limited to:• Facilitating the "Business Economics" high school level course in a non-credit international program • Developing and delivering curriculum to meet course objectives, focusing on key topics like examining business strategy, strategic analysis of external factors affecting businesses, understanding SWOT, internal business analysis, and developing a strategic business plan• Incorporating a variety of facilitating / learning strategies to meet student needs• Evaluating student progress / achievement• Participating in program and college activities as required• Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required• Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment• Participating in student events (orientation and graduation)Qualifications:• Successfully completed a Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or related discipline• Minimum of 2 years high school facilitating experience (Grade 10 -12) within private and/or public sector organization • Experience embracing change and leading innovation• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Commitment to life-long learning • Computer literacy: MS Office• Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students• Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies• Teaching and Training certification and / or experience in a facilitating or training capacity is an assetAcceptable proof of education (degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.Georgian College supports diversity, equity and a workplace free from harassment and discrimination and is committed to an inclusive, barrier-free environment.
