What will you do in this job? Maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences and office for call outsCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences and officeMaintain HVAC equipment with carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), filter change program and coil cleaningMinor plumbing, Minor Electrical, Minor HVAC and Minor carpentryMaintain walkways (throughout the year), lawns and flower gardensAssist tradesmen/contractors when neededOrder parts / equipment working with Assistant Maintenance ManagerReport broken or misused equipment to Assistant Maintenance Manager / Engineering OfficeOrganize inventory of parts necessary for this positionMaintain compliance of all H&S programs.Maintain accurate reports and logs as per the hotel requirementsMaintain a safe and hazard free work environment.Gain complete knowledge of hotel and residence fire standards and procedures.Must respond as part of the Emergency Response Team.Actively participate in the hotel environmental program.Other assigned duties as necessary to fulfill the scope and general purpose of job What skills and experience do you need for this job? Previous experience in Building Maintenance (PPM) – requiredPossess working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset.Working knowledge of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operationsMust work well without supervisionValid Driver's LicenceMinor plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge.Minor Kitchen equipment knowledge.Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.Computer literacy required: Word, Excel and Outlook.Must be able to work effectively in a high pace environment.Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.Must be willing to learn, self motivated and be comfortable working in a technically demanding environment.Further training will be required as it relates to property specific systemsTo honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record and credit check What will your work environment be like?
