Description :Major Job FunctionsOperate and repair Caterpillar generators in a powerhouse settingDiagnose and troubleshoot C175 engine or genset repairs Diagnosis and repair engines, generator, fuel system, heat exchangers and PLC controllers in the powerhouseUtilize Caterpillar SIS and ET dailyComplete technical documentation (daily service reports, warranty, crossover notes, inspections)Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning teamWork with the Service Supervisor on various tasks as requiredQualificationsInterprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician, or Dual Ticket Electrical and HET CertifiedPreference give to Dual Ticket Electrical and HET CertifiedValid drivers licence with a successful recent drivers abstractPrior powerhouse operation experience would be considered and assetSupervisory control system experience, Woodward, SCADA ,DSLC, emcp 4.1-4.4 would be considered and assetCompletion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls or Tier 4 training would be considered an assetPrevious Caterpillar power generation or mining experience would be considered an assetImportant Details:Schedule:12 Hours per Day21 x 21 Continuous Day Shift / Night Shift Rotation (21 Days/21 Off/21 Nights)Travel Allowance to get to marshalling pointCustomer flights provided from Edmonton or YellowknifeCustomer Camp providedAt Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
