Project Details: Based at Young-Davidson Mine in Matachewan, ON, this will be a 7 days on / 7 days off (day & night) rotation opportunity. Responsibilities: The Boom Truck Operators are responsible and accountable for the following: Adhering to all legislated mining regulations and performing the role safely; ensuring Health & Safety is the number one priority Following all procedures, policies and processes at the mine site and underground workplace Perform daily checks, inspections, and maintenance on assigned equipment Operate the boom truck safely and efficiently Take a proactive role in identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe Follow and uphold all applicable standards, regulations, codes, and laws Report any abnormal conditions that may pose a risk to personal or team safety Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements: Minimum 2 years working full-time in an underground mine environment Previous experienced operating a Boom Truck Ontario Underground Common Core Valid driver's license Ability to lift and physically handle material up to 50lbs Able to work independently Ability to work within a fast-paced environment Dependable and able to commit to a 7 day on / 7 day off rotation Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high performing team Residents of the Northern ON and candidates identifying as Indigenous are encouraged to apply Pre-employment Requirements: Drug Test Criminal Record Check For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test.
