St. Demetrius Residence is a 15-story, 259-unit, independent seniors apartment. Residents are aged 65 years and over. The complex offers several apartment layouts. They include a small bachelor, large bachelor as well as one and two bedroom units.Description: Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.Duties & Responsibilities:Ensuring compliance with the standards, rules, and regulations at the PropertyPerform highly visible patrols of assigned patrol areas/zones (by foot)Normal physical activity characterized by extended periods of walking and standing, periodic sitting, kneeling, bending, and use of basic motor skillsMaintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable mannerAble to use tact and diplomacy in dealings across a range of settings and situationsSolid understanding of emergency and standard operating proceduresDeal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property in a fair and safe manner by enforcing the Trespass to Property ActAssist with Fire & Life Safety inspectionsInvestigate incidents and occurrencesDraft detailed incident and occurrence reportsOther duties as outlined by management Qualifications: Must be willing and able to stand, walk, patrol by foot and vehicle for extended periods (8-12 hours) Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalismMust have strong verbal and written communication skills Must have a strong command and fluency in the English languageMust be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment both indoors and outdoors as required. Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duressMust be comfortable working in a busy, highly populated area Must demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awarenessMust demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligenceLegally authorized to work in CanadaWhy choose Paladin?   Opportunities for training and professional development Competitive salary and benefits package. Free Uniforms  Security license reimbursement  Dry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowance  Additional perks Enjoy financial flexibility with on – demand, daily pay
