And this is where you come in…We're looking for a User Research Intern to join our team In this role, you'll contribute by assisting the team in running research studies and analyzing data to shape meaningful experiences for our players. You'll also have the exciting opportunity to receive mentorship from our experienced user research team.If you're passionate about understanding players and contributing to impactful game experiences, we want to hear from youIn this role, you can expect to be involved in:Assisting in data collection through interviews, usability studies, or survey analysisObserving participants and note-taking during sessionsCoding video and interviews for analysisGaining insights into what motivates players to play gamesAssisting in setting up and preparing research studiesSupport with recruiting participants for research studiesLearning about new research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitativeDeveloping a basic understanding of game user researchLearning about the game development process and how user research supports itDeveloping strong relationships with the research teamCollaborating with the research team to contribute to research effortsWhat you'd bring to the team:Pursuing a Masters or PhD in a relevant field such as Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or similar programs.Knowledge of qualitative user research and analysis methodsCompetency in quantitative user research and data analysis methods such as descriptive statisticsFamiliarity with using Excel or similar tools to generate quantitative findingsAbility to switch between multiple projectsStrong communication skillsNice to HaveUnderstanding of grounded theoryA passion for gamesComfort with public speaking/presenting to small audiencesPresentation design skillsPerks of being a Kabam intern:Our success is due to the hard work of our people.
