Description Position at Dumas About the Role:As a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic at Dumas, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the fleet of heavy mining equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. You will work underground in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support production goals while working safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis for failures.Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.Qualifications:Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License in a Mechanic trade along with 3+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.Schedule: We offer a variety of site-specific schedules, and our recruiters will be happy to provide detailed information about the schedule for each position during the initial screening process.Compensation: This position offers a competitive wage along with a comprehensive benefit and retirement package.
