Senior Fluids Engineer

From designing the world’s most advanced, one-of-a-kind test facilities to leading cutting-edge research and development, MDS continues to drive innovation. Our Mechanical Engineering department provides a comprehensive engineering capability in design and analysis of complex systems for the industrial markets. We are currently looking for a Senior Fluids Engineer to join this world-class team. What you will be doing:Participate in facility planning, equipment layout, pipe routing and the detailed design of skid-mounted fluid systems; and Be responsible for the development and management of designs from the conceptual stage through fabrication and installation, including: Detailed design and analysis; Development of relevant documentation; Chairing design reviews; Managing and providing technical support to manufacturers; Overseeing designers in the production of detailed drawings; and, On Site commissioning and installation support.  Who are we looking for: 9+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a field related to gas turbine design, development, or testingDemonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:Liquid and Gas Fuel Supply and MeasurementLubrication Oil SystemsHydraulic Power SystemsCompressed Air (Air Start, Engine Bleed Air, Shop and Instrument Air Distribution); Cooling Water Distribution; Piping Design including ASME B31.3.Experience in installation supervision and on-site troubleshooting is considered an asset.PEO membership or eligibility for PEO membership is required. Experience in the fields of gas turbine development, production and testing, designing for hazardous or explosive conditions, familiarity with industrial instrumentation and controls shall be considered important assets.
