Position Title: Maintenance Helper - Injection Machine MaintenancePosting Date: Thursday August 1, 2024Department: MaintenanceClosing Date: Thursday August 8, 2024 @ 4:00pmReports To: Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Assistant ManagerShift: Days and Afternoons Number of Positions: 1Job SummaryResponsible for managing maintenance inventory, ordering parts, and maintaining the PM software and work-order system. Ensures 5S standards are upheld in the maintenance cage. Assists maintenance tradespersons with repairing and maintaining machinery, as well as performing fabrication, plumbing, and electrical tasks on plant operations equipment as needed.Job RequirementsTeam members must follow all safety rules and regulations. Must have successfully completed at least one level1 of the process Technician. Previous Maintenance experience is an assetMaintain inventory crib area with Kanban, 5S and maintainingAble to assist maintenance department with daily tasks: inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularitiesClean and maintain routine maintenance with on machineryMust be able to work independently with minimal supervisionAdhere to all safety guidelines by keeping work area clean and wearing protective clothingAbility to consistently lift 25lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50lbsGood understanding of how to perform PM’sAbility to fabricate and/or weldComfortable working in small areasAble to operate hand tools (drills, grinders, various saws, etc.)Ability to work overtime when requiredThis job is the first step to becoming a Vuteq trades apprentice.Job QualificationsEducationSuccessful completion of OSSD or equivalentExperience2-4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience1-3 years’ experience as Injection Molding Process Techs1-3 years of MIG, Arc and/or TIG welding experience an asseSkills and AbilitiesGood hand-eye coordination and flexibilityExceptional attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of organizationAbility to multitask OtherMust have or be willing to attain a driver’s license, crane and forklift licenseMust be willing to attend lock out tag out, dry ice, and shop tool trainingMust be willing to commit to enrolling into Industrial Apprentice program related to trades (time off to attend post-secondary trades school)**NOTE: Accepting a new position after a successful interview commits you to that role for a minimum of 6 months**If you have any questions concerning the above job, please speak with Joe Oliviera.Please submit the job posting form AND resume and return to the Human Resources Department for consideration.
