Reporting to the Associate Director, Operations Planning, this position is responsible for the effective management of five-year airside capacity and baggage product development and integration. Develop airside products and services that enable Toronto Pearson to meet forecasted growth efficiently and effectively. This is an 8-months term opportunity. As Manager, Operations Planning you will: Evaluate operational processes and identify potential improvements to existing products and services with a strong focus on capacity and infrastructure constrained areas. Resolve systemic operational issues with a focus on improving performance and capacity. Review and update planning documents on a regular basis to ensure they align with corporate growth forecasts. Assess, identify, and recommend cost effective solutions to major areas of operational risk in the context of continued growth in the coming years. Develop new services and products with internal business units to support operating efficiencies. Analyse and work with key stakeholders to resolve systemic operational issues. Maintain alignment with Airport Operations Delivery teams through effective communication and coordination to ensure seamless integration of programs and ad hoc improvement initiatives. Formalize and maintain regular executive level presentation materials covering key AO projects/plans for the coming year. Coordinate with Airport Operations Delivery teams and cross functionally with Airport Development and Technical Services (ADTS) to develop and implement new products and services. Support Airport Operations projects outside of the Lift program from program initiation to design completion and then transition projects to the Operations Delivery team. Ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of programs and services that support hub development. Support business cases and financial analysis to support new products and/or services, inclusive of labour strategy. Provide cross functional leadership/management and coaching/mentoring to to support and further the business’ vision through building and development of diverse, multi-skilled teams. Be a customer centric Leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs. This is the role for you, if you have: 5+ years of experience in an aviation environment dealing with operational or capacity planning. 3+ years of experience in People Management (direct report or cross-functional). Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively reach a broad audience of internal and external customers and other key stakeholders. Strong knowledge of aviation operations. The ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate cross functionally in a unionized environment, as well as with external stakeholders to achieve results in a cost-effective manner. Post-secondary degree or diploma in airport operations, airport planning or a similar field and/or 5 years of combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
