With approximately employees, Heffley Creek Division produces plywood and veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately million square feet of plywood and million square feet of veneer per year, for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Minimum of5 years of leadership experience. Knowledge of Veneer and Plywood production is preferred. Strongplanning, goal setting and project management skills. Proven team leader with stronglabour relationsand people skills. Excellentinterpersonal skills, including strongwritten and verbal communicationsskills. Excellentproblem solving and critical thinkingskills. Demonstrated experience inleading and managing change. Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems; preferably JD Edwards. Knowledge of the development and implementation of effective safety programs. Wood products manufacturing experience preferred. In this role you will: Live the Tolko values with an emphasis on safety, respect, progressiveness, integrity, open communication and profit. Develop and empower your team to deliver results. Develop and manage the operational budget including supporting capital planning and execution. Be accountable for overall mill safety performance, including ensuring employees are trained, supported and coached in operating safety and in compliance with documented procedures, policies and regulations. Develop employees through effective coaching, mentoring and performance management and feedback.
