The Quality Control Inspector works closely with management in order to conduct reviews and reports of projects, all while ensuring CPCI/CSA/ACI compliance. The Quality Control Inspector also provides guidance to employees and students ensuring continuous improvement in relation to their tasks at hand. Straight night shift position. Hours are 5pm-5am Monday-Thursday. $3.50/hr shift premium will be added to starting wage.This position is located in Harley, ON (between Brantford and Woodstock)THE DAY TO DAYSample, inspect, and test concrete and raw materials at plantsPerform pre-pour inspections of products to ensure components are built to the drawing specificationsPerform post-pour inspections to determine the quality of the finished productComplete cleaning and maintenance of pre-stressing equipment as requiredMaintain daily records of all dataPerform administrative duties of value-added productsDevelop technical reports and analysis of concrete qualityFollow all necessary health & safety directives in accordance with legislative requirementsWork with managers to conduct project specification reviews and mix design reviewsCommunicate and train quality processes and procedures to production employeesIdentify opportunities for continuous improvementAnalyze data and provides well supported and applicable recommendations for actionProvide ongoing mentorship and guidance to studentsEnsure CPCI/CSA/ACI compliance: reviews and monitors field compliance with CSA/PCI standardsAssist Managers and Supervisors with various tasksPerform all other duties required by managementWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORAn effective Quality Control Inspector at Stubbe’s must have:Ability to:Work independently;Understand company processes and procedures;Establish practical/common sense quality measure;Positively influence people;Prioritize and focus on the appropriate concerns;Multi-task; andPresent information to a wide range of audiences;Strong communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong problem solving skillsStrong attention to detail in a fast paced environmentSafety orientedStrong analytical skillsComputer knowledgeUnderstanding and reading of specifications and blue prints is essentialKnowledge of concrete mix designs and sieve analysis an assetFamiliar with CSA, PCI or equivalent standards is an assetExperience with repair proceduresExcellent communication skillsStubbe's is committed to providing accommodations to those individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
