This role is responsible for serving meals and servicing catering events while ensuring an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests. What You Will Do: Prepare food for serving to the residents and ensuring resident satisfaction with meal serviceTake orders, setting and stripping tables and serving food/beverages in accordance with established policies and procedures and all applicable regulationsUnpack and store supplies; maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe sanitary mannerWash, clean and sort dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and serviceOperate and clean food equipment, furniture and maintain dining areaAll other duties as assignedQualifications or Skills Required:Covid-19 vaccination is mandatoryCurrent Safe Food Handler’s CertificationMust be able to read and communicate effectively, and follow written/verbal instructionsDemonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of seniorsAbility to organize work and work under strict time constraintsMust have a high standard of hygiene and cleanlinessMust be able to operate related equipmentExperience working in a kitchen is considered an assetAbility to lift up to and including 50 pounds is considered an asset All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
