Position Posting Visitor Service Attendant – Museum Attendant – Summer Student (2 Positions Available – pending grant approval) Term of Employment: Full-Time, Summer Term (April 27, 2026 – August 21, 2026) Rate of Pay: Student Wage Band : $18.05 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Current Location: Lloydminster Museum & Archives (LMA) & Weaver Heritage Park Duties: The Visitor Services Attendant – Museum Attendant is responsible to assist in the overall operation of the facility with a focus on program development, support, and implementation. The Visitor Services Attendant – Museum Attendant will: Assist with reception duties. Process admissions, provide customer service, and respond to inquiries Lead interpretive tours of the galleries and outdoor displays. Assist with summer youth programming at the museum Assist with the organization, cataloguing, and storage of the Museum’s heritage collection. Assist in leading education programs for school groups. Maintain the grounds at Weaver Park, such as string trimming, gardening, weeding, and garbage removal. Assist in supporting public events. Participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Other related duties from time to time as required. Schedule: This position will work days, evenings and weekends. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Must be creative, outgoing, and comfortable working with small groups of children in a hands-on learning setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to effectively and tactfully deal with the public. Must be comfortable handling cash, reconciling a cash till, and conducting daily deposits An interest in history is considered an asset. Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and in unheated historical buildings, and perform manual duties, such as gardening, painting, string trimming, moving equipment, and operating a City of Lloydminster fleet vehicle. Offer will be contingent upon receiving a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check prior to employment.
