Assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, planning and preparing meals while promoting maximum independence. Performs delegated tasks for which delegation of tasks training has been completed. A key component of this job is to ensure the well-being of individuals and families and to promote independent living while in the community.Must have current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry. Must have a class 5 license for this position. Burns Lake is located in the heart of the Lakes District, an area boasting over 4800 kilometers of lake shoreline. The village has a diverse population of 2,000 residents and serves a surrounding area of approximately 13,000 residents of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. With two of the six local First Nations communities located within municipal boundaries, Burns Lake has a strong sense of culture and incredible local talents to showcase. Housing in Burns Lake is very affordable, including lakefront property There are two K-7 schools, a K-9, a 8-12 and a 10-12 public school within the Lakes District Area. Additionally, there are two Independent Mennonite schools and one College of New Caledonia campus within the community. It is centrally located between Smithers (1.5 hrs) and Prince George (2.5 hours) for ease of access to airports VIA Rail serves Burns Lake year round and stops right in the centre of Burns Lake’s downtown core.
