Our Red Chris Site Maintenance team is now recruiting for the position of Journeyperson Plumber/Gasfitter with a competitive hourly rate of $55.14. We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation. Purpose of the Role To support the site maintenance and services department team to complete a variety of maintenance projects around site and in camp. Accountabilities Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Install, repair and maintain various equipment around site. Design, install, test, adjust, maintain and repair lines, appliances, equipment and accessories in various areas of the mine. Manage systems for various gas and fuel types, including propane. Maintain and repair appliances and equipment such as boilers, burners, makeup air units, furnaces, process burners, and various other gas-fired equipment. Assist other maintenance personnel by performing minor building repairs and servicing around site, as required. Install and repair propane piping and associated fittings. Maintain HVAC systems to ministry standards. Demonstrate continuous improvement to enhance operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes. The mentorship and training of apprentices. Input timesheets, material information, equipment information and work orders electronically via SAP. Practice workplace safety. About You Position requirements include, but are not limited to Red Seal Interprovincial Certification in Gas Fitter trade required. Red Seal Plumber Certification. Requires BC Gas Fitters Class A license considered an asset. Minimum of 3 years related field experience required Experience in HVAC systems an asset Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license required Grade 12 diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to use Microsoft Office and MS Outlook preferred, SAP experience a distinct asset Experience in cold weather environments considered an asset Working at heights and confined spaces.
