Wright Tree Service of CanadaThe Position: Certified Utility Arborist/ Utility Tree TrimmerType: Full-time Reports To: Project ManagerAbout Us:Wright Tree Service, a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, provides vegetation management, storm restoration, and work planning services to utility companies and their communities across North America.Why Wright Canada Holdings:A Company Culture of Safety, Family, Integrity, Excellence and StewardshipPay rate of $35 to $40 per hourWe provide ALL equipment needed except your CSA Certified Work BootsWorking shifts of 10 days on and 4 days offCompensated travel time, depending on working location, and live out allowanceMedical and Dental benefitsEmployee Ownership potential Key Responsibilities:Assign, instruct, and direct tree trimmers, equipment operators and groundworkers.Trim and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using saws/pruners.Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.Ensure on-the-job safety practices are followed by all crew members.Perform other job-related tasks as assigned. Experience and Knowledge Expectations:Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT), or ability to challenge exam.Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.Must adhere to the Company’s Drug and Alcohol policy.
