Job DescriptionLandscape Architecture Technologist – Markham (Hybrid)Build the Places That Shape Communities Start building places that matter. As a Landscape Architecture Technologist at AECOM Buildings + Places, you’ll support the design and delivery of parks, transit facilities, civic campuses, and public spaces—working alongside experienced designers and engineers in a collaborative studio environment. This is a new role for the team.Why You’ll Thrive HereHands-on project impact – Contribute directly to the production and delivery of high-profile public realm and infrastructure projects.Collaborative team environment – Work closely with landscape architects, urban designers, planners, engineers, and environmental specialists.Career development – Build technical depth while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle within a global design practice.Modern tools & workflows – Apply digital design, coordination, and documentation tools across multiple project types and scales.What You’ll Doo Support project teams in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation from schematic design through tender and construction.o Develop detailed landscape construction drawings (2D and 3D) including grading, planting, hardscape, details, and schedules.o Coordinate drawings with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and constructability.o Assist with permit submissions, agency coordination, and responses to technical comments.o Preparation of 2D and 3D presentation materials.o Maintain organized project files and contribute to quality control and documentation standards.QualificationsWhat We’re Looking Foro Diploma or degree in Landscape Architecture Technology or a related field.o 2+ years of professional experience supporting landscape architecture or urban design projects.o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suiteo Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, or other 3D/BIM toolso Exposure to public realm projects such as parks, streetscapes, transit facilities, campuses, or municipal infrastructure is preferred.Professional Skillso Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.o Clear communicator, both written and verbal.o Well organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.o Motivated by learning, continuous improvement, and design excellence.Additional InformationPerks & Benefitso Hybrid work options in recently renovated office spaces.o Competitive compensation package with comprehensive health and dental benefits.o Paid vacation, sick leave, and flexible work arrangements.o Professional development, mentorship, and cross-Canada project exposure.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
