PLATO has offices on or near Indigenous communities across Canada, in Fredericton, Miramichi, Sault Ste Marie, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria.We are growing in Toronto and are actively seeking junior-to-senior level software testers to support upcoming opportunities. While we may not have immediate openings, we are preparing to move quickly as new contracts are signed or customer needs arise. Preference will be given to those based in the Greater Toronto Area as several roles will require candidates to work at our client site(s) in downtown Toronto. Share What you'll do Responsibilities Perform risk-based and context-driven manual software testingConduct testing to align with client test methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, BDD, etc)Use Test Management and Defect Tracking Systems (such as Azure DevOps) to document test cases, map requirements, record defects and record test case execution resultsWork/communicate directly with project stakeholders including business and external Vendors and discuss defects, priority of testing activitiesExtract testing requirements from functional / business requirements and transform them to test casesWrite detailed test plans, test cases and test status reports What you'll need Qualifications Computer Science degree, Engineering degree, or equivalent work experienceExperience as a Software Quality Assurance AnalystPreference will be given to those with experience in Banking & Finance systemsExperience working on front-end and back-end web applicationsPreference will be given to those with experience with API testing (SoapUI, Postman, Katalon, etc)Test automation experience (Selenium, Tosca, Playwright, Katalon, etc) is an assetExperience with Test Management tools such as ADO, ALM/QC, Jira, qTestISTQB certification or similar testing certification considered an assetAbility to write SQL queriesExcellent written and spoken communication skillsDemonstrated experience having tested complex IT solutionsExperience having performed System Integration testing and UAT supportExcellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to propose practical solutions to complex problemsFlexibility, self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levelsAdaptable and willing to work through challenges with a positive attitudeWilling to work at client site approximately 3 days/week A little bit about us PLATO Who We ArePLATO is a software testing and technology services company trusted by clients around the world.In addition to providing our clients the highest quality software testing services, PLATO is creating careers in technology for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people from coast to coast to coast through our innovative train-and-employ model.
