Millwright/ Industrial MillwrightRotational shift (every 2 weeks): 7:30am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday) and 3:30pm - 1:30am (4 x 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday) Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Maintenance Millwright is a full-time position, responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain equipment to the required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You work as part of a team but will routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of workmanship and safety while performing your duties. ResponsibilitiesAdhering to all workplace safety policies, LTV procedures, compliances, and regulationsReading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresInstalling machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using various toolsTroubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical and automated systems to detect malfunctions and irregularitiesAdjustment, repair, and replacement of defective machinery partsOperating machine tools and welders to fabricate parts required for completing maintenance tasksEnsuring safety devices are functioning properly after completing repairs modifications or installationsParticipating in the PM program of all equipment for continuous improvement of all equipmentUtilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, and PMs and updating the equipment databasesCleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machines.Maintain a clean and environmentally safe workplacePerform other related duties as assignedSupport local and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, waste, and 5S RequirementsSuccessful completion of the Red Seal Millwright 433A program or enrollment in programMinimum 5 years of experience preferredKnowledge of motors, hydraulics, vacuum, pneumatic, heating, and cooling systemsAbility to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, etc.Physically fit and able to lift 33lbs, negotiate inclines, stairs, ladders, and scaffolding. Able to perform physically demanding activities in both indoor and outdoor environments. The job requires bending, kneeling, crawling, standing, and working from heights and confined spaces for extended periods of time.Knowledge of CNC equipment is an assetBasic PC knowledgeMust be able to work all shifts in the collective agreementWilling to work extended hours when required including nights, weekends, on-call, and holidaysVerbal and written communication in EnglishWillingness to cross-train in another tradeMust enroll in the Canadian Controlled Goods ProgramEqual Opportunity Employer
