Description :Major Job Functions:Condition Monitoring Execution (30%)Review and interpret condition monitoring recommendations created by remote CM teamsAccountable for process on actioning CM recommendations while providing updates and feedbackReview supporting evidence with site-based data points to determine severity of recommendationsTrack accepted, scheduled and completed recommendations for program success KPIsEscalate as required to appropriate site maintenance teamsRecommendation Backlog Management (20%)Maintain backlog of deficiencies for assets to be addressed at planned outagesWork with planning team to prioritize and schedule reported issuesPeriodically review recommendations and needs for escalationReview data prior to PM to identify opportunities in proactive maintenanceAsset Health Management (20%)Review asset inspection reports for added insightsTrack downtime as related to condition monitoring effortsUse supporting CM data to monitor and report on condition of components to support in replacement decisionsMaintain a proactive presence on the shop floor to inspect magnetic plugs and filter cut-outs, analyze oil samples, and identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.Collaboration and Communication (15%)Act as point of contact for CM data between Caterpillar, Customer and other stakeholders.Support Finning in ability to drive best achievable uptime for fleet.Support reliability engineers in addressing top downtime drivers and bad actorsManage fleet reports to convey areas of improvement and value providedProgram Improvements (15%)Actively work with Caterpillar / Finning CM team to align CM platform analytics with site requirementsParticipate in program and process improvements with site maintenance teamsIdentify areas of concern requiring increased visibility and new ways to capture data for CM programSpecific Skills:Ability to understand the equipment overall and the functionality of each component group.Ability to read & understand the technical data sources available.Ability to filter and correlate the different data source to create an accurate recommendation.Ability to constantly prioritize situations & emergenciesStrategic thinking coupled with multi-angle approach to complex situations.Customer service focus with great ability to effectively communicate in English. (written/verbal)Strong Analytical Skills (problem solving).Self-motivated and detail oriented; work with a minimum of supervision.Knowledge:Knowledge of machine application, design, functionality and understanding the environmental effect on the equipment performance.Working knowledge of engines, powertrain, hydraulics, electronic system, and telematics.CM data types, workflow, available tools will be considered an assetUnderstanding effective inspection process and equipment lifecycle planningKnowledge of Fluid Analysis interpretationExtended knowledge of mining equipment (Large Off Highway Trucks, Shovels, Track Type Tractors, Motor Graders) and mine site processes considered an assetAccountability:CM to be present on the shop floor to provide inspections and analyze magnetic plugs, filter cut outs, review oil analysis and identify areas of risk/opportunityTo work in collaboration with the customers, reliability engineering, product managers, and branches to improve physical availability.Manage the failure risk versus down time.Manage and execute recommendations that improve product support loyalty.Manage customer fleetProvide health fleet reports to convey value provided.Education & Experience:Heavy Duty Mechanic, Mechanical or Mining Engineering Degree, or similar educationService experience at Finning or another Caterpillar dealer preferred.Experience with mobile equipment is required5+ years of mechanical experience requiredAt Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
