Our Electrical Services team provides electrical construction, maintenance, and specialty services and solutions to our many clients in industrial sectors such as Utility, Mining, Oil & Gas, Technology and many more. Shermco Canada is seeking a 1st-year and 2nd-year Apprentice to join our Electrical Services in Saskatoon. Apprentice Electrician Job Responsibilities: • Construct, alter, repair, and maintain all electric components that are integral to the operations of industrial activities and electrical systems • Install new and maintain low and high voltage equipment • Work in industrial work settings • Work around energized power and control equipment • Determine appropriate selection of materials • Contribute to the execution of completing work safety • Work in a fast-paced environment • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Registered electrical apprentice • Experience in industrial or commercial setting considered an asset • Industrial facility safe work qualifications considered asset • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently • Must have a valid driver's license and able to maintain a clean abstract • Available for out-of-town work based on varying project requirements Other Requirements: • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations • Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy • Calm, positive attitude under pressure • Strong communication skills • An aptitude and willingness to learn and proven initiative
