Additional information can be found at Purchasing AgentJob Title Code: PURC-01-A-02Department: PurchasingReports To: Purchasing ManagerLocation: TTM Technologies – TorontoPosition SummaryReporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. This role plays a key part in inventory replenishment, supplier coordination, purchase order management, and ensuring procurement documentation is audit-ready in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesReview MRP, ACP, and MIN/MAX reports to determine material replenishment requirementsCreate and manage purchase orders to maintain appropriate inventory levelsObtain supplier confirmations and follow up on open or outstanding ordersSource materials by engaging suppliers, requesting quotations, and evaluating pricingCreate requisitions and place purchase orders following supplier discussionsMaintain accurate pricing, freight, and quantity data within the ERP systemProduce cost-savings reports and identify procurement efficiency opportunitiesResolve receiving discrepancies, including shortages and quantity variancesProcess approved requisitions and maintain supporting documentationAdd and maintain supplier records within the systemEnsure all procurement documentation (requisitions, MRP reports, confirmations, POs) is complete and audit-readyGenerate procurement-related reports as requiredQualifications & SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively while managing tasks independentlyExcellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detailSound judgment and decision-making skills to avoid duplication and errorsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel capabilityAbility to read, write, and communicate in English to perform job duties effectivelyHighly motivated, disciplined, and customer-focused work ethicEducation & ExperiencePost-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years’ purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or production environmentPCB manufacturing experience is considered an assetExperience with negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical decision-making preferredKnowledge of ERP / MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and global purchasing practices is a strong assetControlled Goods RequirementPlease note that due to Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements, applicants must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada.
