Our client is a manufacturer & distributor and carries one of the most comprehensive product lines in the industry. They are in search of a new Engineering Solutions/Representative for the Greater Kelowna Area.This individual must be able to service the needs of the engineering community by understanding, engineering, and detailing the selection of components, systems, and solutions for HVAC designs. Good communication skills, self-motivation, and a desire to learn will be required. Primary DutiesDevelop and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders (Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Developers, Owners etc.), Maintain a presence in the engineering community. The goal is to have products specified, or listed as an equal, on all projects.Understand client’s needs and provide appropriate technical solutions to achievesatisfaction/design intentUnderstand, and remain current with, both industry and local codes and regulations, and market trends, to ensure we comply and can exploit opportunities.Want to continuously learn and growSelf-educate, and attend manufacturer’s factory / training visits, to ensure you are constantly up to date on the latest product developments and software tools. (Some travel will be involved when we are able to safely do so)Build sustainable customer relationships and trust with customer’s account through open communicationCross train on both mechanical products and air-side products, so as to be able to identify opportunity for other products.Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly ASHRAE meetings.Carry out Lunch and Learn (or similar) presentations when requested to do so.Assist with planning and implementing new product introductions to the market.Attend all divisional and office meetingsAttend any industry related events as required. (SMACNA, MCA, VRCA)Assist in all customer events as required. This could be open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.Primary DutiesThe ideal candidate for this position will have:Minimum 3 years of experience of Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of HVAC systemsUniversity degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering specialization requiredHolding a Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an assetAbility to read Architectural and Mechanical drawingsExcellent communication skills – Verbal, Listening and Written PresentationGood knowledge of MS OfficeYou are Self-Motivated, Creative and ResourcefulAbility to work under pressure unsupervisedStrategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindStrong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respectIf this position is of interest to you, please hit "Easily Apply" to complete your application.
