Your JobDarkVision, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to help develop our data analysis and visualization applications. This development involves writing application software for our desktop applications, database and cloud software and C++ python modules. We are looking to iterate upon our existing platform as well as build out support for our next generation imaging platform. We like to keep the team engaged by having them work on problems that interest them while continuing to grow their skills and knowledge.This role is on-site and is based out of DarkVision’s head office in North Vancouver, BC, where employees enjoy full access to our facility amenities including a well-equipped gym, squash court, climbing wall, steam room, private showers, and more.Our TeamYou will be joining our software and hardware engineers to do complete “full-stack” development. From embedded systems to data processing to desktop applications to 3D rendering and cloud services, the Software team at DarkVision plays a central role in everything that happens with our award-winning ultrasound imaging solutions. What You Will DoDevelop analysis features and database components for our desktop visualization applicationDevelop cloud applications to support deliverables and machine learning integrationDevelop data capture and control software for field engineersDevelop rendering and image processing algorithms using NVIDIA CUDAHelp guide the technical decision-making of software feature developmentPropose and evaluate new tools to optimize development team workflowIdentify technical debt and architectural gaps and drive efficient, maintainable solutionsMentor other developers and support a healthy, dynamic teamOpportunities to LeanIndustrial Ultrasound for Non-Destructive TestingCloud-based data processing and machine learning applications Amazon Web Services (AWS)Linux and Windows developmentData Pipelines, Image Processing and GPU ProgrammingWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical EngineeringProfessional experience writing production level C++ codeWhat Will Put You Ahead5+ years of experience in modern C++ programmingExperience in image processing, graphics programming, cloud infrastructure, or computer visionGood communication skills, verbal and writtenGeneral Salary RangeFor this role, we anticipate paying $145,000 - $195,000 per year.
