We are known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.Role:GRF is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright for the Night shift. Night shift – 10:30pm – 7:30am Monday to Friday – some weekend overtime required.GRF operates in a cold, fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Applicants must be comfortable working with meat products (beef, pork, chicken, seafood, soy, etc.)Responsibilities:Install, repair, and maintain all production-related equipmentProvide troubleshooting and support during all downtime eventsComplies with all necessary manufacturing practices, regulations and standards, GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS etc.Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities as needed to improve asset healthMaintain detailed records of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Collaborate with the maintenance planner to improve preventative maintenance activitiesIdentify and communicate, continuous improvement ideas to the management teamActively promote health and safety in the workplaceComplete Maintenance reports and logs as requiredEnsure all production equipment is serviced as requiredMonitor and adjust equipment to lower utility costsEnforce established safety, health, contamination and housekeeping policies and procedures to prevent injuries, lost production time, damage, and product contaminationEnsure work areas are always clean and hazard-freeWork safely and efficiently following legislated and company health and safety standardsPerform other duties as requiredRequirements:Valid Millwright license with proof of apprenticeshipAble to perform routine machine shop practices (lathe & milling machine operations)Experience welding stainless steel using TIG and ARC Able to troubleshoot and repair, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and controls2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industryService, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment (spiral ovens, freezers, formers, cartoners, tray pack machines, bread, and batter equipment)Continually improve equipment function via design improvementsProblem-solving skills and good communication skillsKnowledge of appropriate health & safety and environmental regulationsAdherence to Food Safety ProtocolsMust have Ontario Millwright LicenseWages and Benefits:$, plus afternoon shift premium of $, for a total wage of $Comprehensive benefits after three-month probationOption to participate in GRF Pension Program after three-month probationAs an essential business, we can offer steady shifts with plenty of opportunity for overtime, even in these trying timesProduct can be purchased at a reduced costAll company PPE provided#INDHPGrand River Foods (Cambridge) embraces diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
