Site Description: St. Clair College’s South Campus is the main campus and serves as a hub for academic programs, student services, and administrative offices. The campus includes multiple academic buildings, student residences, athletic facilities, and parking areas. It is a high-traffic environment with students, faculty, staff, and visitors present throughout the day. Position: Part-Time Security Guard Site: St. Clair College South Campus, 2000 Talbot Rd. W Key Responsibilities: Assist visitors, and employees during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns. Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources. Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required. Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client. Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider Full G driver’s license English (oral and written) fluency is a must Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Legally authorized to work in Canada Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability Why choose Paladin?
