This role involves system development, troubleshooting, security, data extraction and reporting, and user support to ensure efficient and secure IT operations. The position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with internal teams and external service providers. Key Responsibilities:Extract and provide accurate data from ERP and other systems to support departmental KPIs, operational reporting, and compliance requirements.Maintain EDI system including setup, troubleshooting, maintenance and coordinating with external partners to ensure seamless data exchange. Maintain ERP system (Syteline), troubleshoot issues, support integration with other business systems and coordinate with external partners.Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain custom applications and barcoding systems to support operational efficiency and production tracking. Maintain and troubleshoot internal web applications, including monitoring performance, applying updates, and resolving user issues promptly. Assist in managing network data storage and backups, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with company retention policies. Provide support for Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Assist in the selection, purchase, installation, maintenance, and security of desktops and laptops, ensuring hardware and software meet company standards and user requirements. Provide technical support for company phones, printers, and photocopiers ensuring minimal downtime and reliable operation. Assist with building security systems and access settings, including badge programming and user permissions management. Support the implementation and ongoing updates of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan, ensuring readiness for system recovery in case of emergencies. Ensure IT processes and systems comply with TISAX requirements and contribute to maintaining certification standards.Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support system use and knowledge transfer. Participate in IT projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with company objectives. Liaise with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and consultants to resolve complex IT issues and implement best practices. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. What You Bring to Ampco:Diploma in Information Systems or equivalent post-secondary education is preferred.Minimum of 3–5 years in a similar role involving systems development, maintenance, and support. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, particularly with ERP/MRP systems. Hands-on experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring.Database management experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and managing data integrity. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and C# with a focus on Node.js, Next.js, and jQuery. Experience in Visual FoxPro, PHP, and Visual Basic would be beneficial for application maintenance and legacy migration projects. Familiarity with Git and utilizing revision control as a team.Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practicesFamiliarity with Active Directory, Office365 and their management.Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and projects. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for user support and training.
