In this role, you’ll embed security seamlessly into development pipelines to accelerate delivery without compromising safety. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and security experts to champion a DevSecOps-first culture, while working with cutting-edge optical and photonic technologies that shape products used around the world. You’ll also have the freedom to experiment with automation, AI-assisted tools, and emerging security frameworks, all within a collaborative environment that values innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.What You’ll Be DoingDesign, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projectsIntegrate automated security testing (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning) into the development lifecycleEstablish and enforce best practices for secrets management, credential rotation, and access controlCollaborate with software, QA, and IT security teams to drive DevSecOps culture and security by designMonitor, detect, and remediate vulnerabilities across build and deployment environmentsSupport compliance initiatives and maintain documentation related to security policies and standardsContribute to automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks.What We’re Looking ForEducation:Degree in technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, optics or semiconductorsExperience:The ideal candidate will have:5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles within embedded or software development environments.3+ years of experience implementing secure CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security principles, including:Secure coding practicesIdentity and access management (IAM)Vulnerability management and remediationCryptography (asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, certificates)Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).Solid understanding of Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Linux, and Virtualization.Knowledge of security scanning and monitoring tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, or OWASP ZAP.Nice to HaveExperience with C, C++, or C# in secure software development.Familiarity with Cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).Perks You’ll LoveFlexible time offHealth and wellness benefits (physical and mental)Tuition reimbursement and career growth supportA workplace built for you: free gym, games room, prayer roomSubsidized meals, free coffee/teaEmployee stock options and incentive plansA collaborative, innovative, and inclusive cultureSalary RangeThe salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 CAD. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
