Distribution Project Manager

Our Distribution group is currently looking to add a Project Manager to our growing team, based in Toronto, ON.Reporting to the Director of Distribution, this position will support various Electrical Distribution projects throughout the General Toronto Area (GTA) as well as other areas of Ontario as needed. We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager who has proven experience on large Construction projects, proven experience with project procurement processes and an understanding of Electrical Distribution Networks.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed Project Plans and Budgets to support Project workContract Management, including all overarching agreements and subcontracts applicable to the projectCoordinate with engineering design teams and the client to ensure requirements are being adhered to and the design is staying on scheduleMonitor project financials on an ongoing basis to ensure things are on trackFacilitate any ongoing project meetings (client, subcontractor, internal)Conduct monthly forecast meetings with project accountants and complete reporting on projected project marginWork closely with the Operations Manager to strengthen relations with clientsPerformance Reviews and selection / mentoring of individuals with the skills and experience to take on future leadership positionsEnsure that all project resources are always working safelyRequirementsProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification10 Years’ experience working on construction projectsExperience utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 Scheduling and JD EdwardsDemonstrated understanding of Project Management concepts and principlesPreferred Skills / QualificationsPrevious Overhead or Underground Distribution construction experienceJourneyperson Powerline Technician CertificationBenefitsThis position offers an hourly rate of $50 – $90, depending on experience and qualifications.We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including an RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
