This is a highly strategic role responsible for accurately assessing project costs and contributing to the company's growth by preparing competitive proposals and ensuring the profitability of high-voltage electrical construction projects. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop customer proposals and estimates that align with the company's strategic objectives. In these cases, the Estimator will act as the Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, cost management, and documentation of assigned projects. The hybrid nature of this role requires strong technical expertise, business acumen, and project delivery skills.Given the extensive impact of this role, this position requires a blend of technical expertise in electrical construction and strong business acumen to establish credibility with technical experts and business decision makers within target customers and partners. This role requires sound business acumen, an exceptional detail orientation, excellent relationship building skills, and strong problem-solving skills.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.Electrician's License 309A considered an assetValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and customer locations.Experience working in commercial and industrial construction.Experience with AutoCAD and Viewpoint Estimating, McCormick5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating, with a focus on high voltage projects.Proficient in estimating software (e.g., McCormick, Viewpoint Estimating, and AutoCAD).Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, and industry standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
